A bit about who I am
After working in physical therapy for approximately 27 years I felt a desire to do more, to help people on a deeper level. I had witnessed how trauma, anxiety, fear, grief, depression or a multitude of other issues can often bring about intense emotions that can leave people feeling overwhelmed. I eventually embarked on the journey to Graduate School. where I earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. For over the past 4 and a half years I have been helping people who struggle to connect within themselves (body and mind) as well as between themselves and others.
Counseling Style
The counseling relationship with those I work with is of a collaborative nature. We work together, with the goal of processing experiences and obtaining a sense of wholeness, or more aptly put, finding peace from within. We explore what may be driving your emotions, feelings and desires. We travel the road together, helping you to find completeness within yourself.
The Counseling Process
We probe, we talk about those areas in life that are most affecting you, and sometimes we dive into the tough stuff. In truth, if we don’t dig in to understand what drives our motives and behaviors we will never come to find out who we are, our true selves. Our goal is for you understand who you are, what motivates or drives you to do and act, or not act. If you are looking for a therapist that follows the gender affirmation approach you will not find it here. However, if you are questioning your identity this is the place for you!
Compass Way understands that choosing a therapist is a very important decision. If you are willing to do the work and embark on the journey to know yourself and heal, then you’ve come to the right place
